About the Tools
TerraExplorer Pro
Tools are a set of external tools that communicate with TerraExplorer Pro using
the TerraExplorer API and provide an extended set of features to the user.
The following Tools
are available:
§
Collaboration – Allows the user to share an
interactive Fly session over the network.
§
Extract Terrain to MPT – Extracts and creates a
subset of local or remote terrain database on the user’s local computer.
§
Extract Terrain to VRML –Creates a VRML model
from a local or remote MPT database to your local machine.
§
Data Library – Set of Graphic and Geographic
elements you can add to your project.
§
GPS Tracking – Track real-time objects that use
the NMEA standard.
§
Find Objects – Searches for objects in
the projects according to the search criteria.
§
Duplicate Objects – Creates multiple instances
of the same object along a line or inside an area.
§
Free Hand Drawing – Draws lines by tracking the
mouse pointer movements.
§
Build Power Line – Creates a power line by
placing power poles along a user-defined path and connecting them with power
lines.
§
MapInfo® MapMarker® Geocoding Client –
Translates street style addressing within your MapMarker® server database and
Fly or Jump to the resulting coordinates.
To
Open a Tool
From the Tools menu
select the required Tool. The Tool page opens in the Lower Left container.
To Close a Tool
From the Tools menu reselect the currently open
Tool, or click on the Close link in the upper-right corner of the
Tool’s window.
