EarthSLOT's Iditarod 2006 Movie Page

On this page you will a variety of movies related to the Iditarod race. These movies were made using EarthSLOT, which you can use to fly around on interactively over the same imagery and terrain. The imagery here comes from TerraColor and is a unique, hand-tailored, high-resolution mosaic of satellite data that gives an excellent feel of what the snow free surface looks like. The elevation data is mostly from USGS, but Rainy Pass uses a high resolution elevation model from Intermap Technologies, which really shows every nook and cranny of the pass. Both TerraColor and Intermap support higher education with their products, please visit their web sites to learn what else they have to offer.

Media: If you would like to display these, please send an email to matt.nolan@uaf.edu. If you have ideas for other movies or formats, please let us know.

Distribution: These movies may be freely distributed as long as the credit pages remain attached.

NOTE: New movies are added as we make them, so check back often.
